The smiling ruler of a city beneath the trees, loved by his people and gentle in every word.
Corvain rules a city at the dark end of the Wall, where the branches close overhead and the light comes down thin. He is tall and unhurried, with a warm voice and an open way of standing that says you are welcome here. His feathers are red, his eyes are gold, and thin gold chains hang at his throat.
His people love him, and he gives them every reason to. He is kind in public, generous with his time, and certain, in the gentlest possible way, that he knows best.
When Lira is brought to him, he is delighted to meet her.
